Over the past few months I have noticed an interesting trend in the horse racing systems market. Some of the better systems providers are offering not only a written version of their system but also a support service. This is often in the form of a text messaging service, web site postings or emails giving the systems selections directly from the system developer.
A support service such as this is ideal for busy people who may not have the time or facilities to calculate the selections for themselves. However, at Premier Betting Club our team of testers have noticed a slightly worrying trend. This is that often the selection made using the system as written does not agree with the selections posted out.
When we have encountered this we have got back to the promoters and developers to discover the reason. In most cases they have failed to respond to our requests for help. Having read the comments of other noted system reviewers I see that we are not alone in coming across this problem.
Sometimes it is understandable how discrepancies can happen. For instance a system may stipulate that there is no bet if the horse price is greater than 4/1. If you are looking to place your bet 10 minutes before the off the price may be 9/2 and hence no bet but by the off it could have dropped to 7/2 and be a qualifier.
We test a great number of systems daily and I think we normally understand what we are doing but often even we get confused. Some filters can be interpreted in more than one way and even requests to the promoters to clarify often get either an inadequate or no response.
At the Premier Betting Club we believe that system betting is the way to make regular profits from your betting activities. Never the less, the systems that you use have to be straight forward and simple to understand and use with no ambiguity. The other important factor is, of course, that they work.
For todays Cheltenham tit bit I am going to look at the Cross Country Chase a most interesting race that takes place in part in the centre of the Prestbury Park course. It is basically an Irish benefit race and I have little doubt that an Enda Bolger horse will win the race. My money, at a pretty short price I suspect, will be on the Nina Carberry ridden Garde Champetre who will be bidding for a hat-trick in the race
