Kempton and the Racing Post Chase goes ahead today and at the moment Chepstow has also been passed fit for racing. However, I am told that there is heavy rain falling at the moment in the West Country and if the meeting does take place it is going to be a real slog for the horses. So forget the form book and look for horses with proven stamina and have proved themselves in heavy going.
The Racing Post Chase 3.05 Kempton looks a very interesting race and there has been a run on Private Be the Pricewise horse. (Once again those of you who are using the system we gave you in “How to be a Profitable Punter” should already be assured of making money today.) Other fancied horses Nacarat and Madison Du Berlaise but my fancy is Fistral Beach. My main reason for selecting Fistral is that 9 of the last 10 winners won their previous races. In the field today only two horses qualify and the other is Piraya and of the two it is the Nicholls/ Walsh combination that I fancy to bring home the prize.
Another interesting g market move is the stack of money that has been placed on the Victor Dartnall runner Shammick Boy in the bumper in the 4.45 Kempton. This could be one for those who like to chase the money.
For the Barry Dennis Fan Club members who are still bathing in the glory of their idol getting his bismark bet correct last week, the first time for a while todays Bismark is The Nightingale the very short priced favourite in the 2.30 Kempton.
